Advanced Passenger Information for the Münster Urban Area

For over a decade, Stadtwerke Münster and Funkwerk have been successfully working on the continuous modernization of passenger information in the urban area. The goal was to achieve reliable, barrier-free, and future-proof real-time communication, both at central hubs and decentralized stops.

Our Approach

Customized. Modular. Future-oriented.
In close collaboration with the customer, a tailored, scalable DFI system was developed. Robust displays in stainless steel housings, barrier-free audio functions, and integration into the IVU.realtime system ensure maximum availability and flexibility in ongoing operations.

56 double-sided LED departure displays in stainless steel showcases
160 × 64 pixels, 4 mm grid, design according to customer specifications, integrated head unit, text-to-speech, speakers, LSA receiver
6 overview displays at the main station
384 × 112 pixels, 8 × 6 mm grid, with control split into two halves, 19″ control computer with IVU.realtime.stop application
Modular expansion in project phases
96 individual modules with variable resolutions, 114 control units with IVU.realtime.stop application, addition of TTS function for barrier-free announcements
