Funkwerk Sensor Module

Intelligent sensors on the platform with the Funkwerk Sensor Module. With an integrated single board computer, the sensor module evaluates the data on the edge with using artificial intelligence and triggers predefined actions in the device itself. At the same time, the sensor module can forward the data for further processing with a software-based interface using standardized protocols (e.g. SNMP, MQTT) to higher-level systems (e.g. mobility platform, control center management system).

The module is configured with an innovative, user-friendly web interface. Different use cases can be mapped at the same time. The sensor module is available as a built-in or as a stand-alone variant.

Stand bye controller

The sensor module automatically detects whether there are people on the platform and can automatically switch the platform indicator or monitor display cases on / off or dim the brightness depending on the situation. Energy efficiency and energy saving come first here.

Train phase detection

With the sensor module it is possible to detect the train phases and to forward them to a higher-level system (e.g. passenger information system). Train phases such as “train arrives”, “train stops”, “train starts” and “train leaves” can be recognized.

Brightness detection

With the built-in sensors and artificial intelligence, brightness values ​​can be determined that are used, for example, to control the brightness of monitors.

Object counting

By recognizing and classifying objects, a trend value can be determined, e.g. how many people are on a platform or in the station lobby. The data can be transmitted to a higher-level system via standard interfaces, e.g. can be used for personnel planning or service planning.
